[Review] Dr.Ceuracle Royal Vita Propolis 33 Ampoule (Formerly Lee Gee Haam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule)

Juni 10, 2018

[Updated]
This post was written before the brand has gone through a major rebranding from Leegeehaam to Dr. Ceuracle, hence the title of this post. Also, I have checked on their website that they have reformulated their key ingredients by adding Royal Jelly extract and also Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) that may enhance its performance. All in all, most of their ingredients are still the same and I can assume that my review might be still relevant for the new product.
Thank you!

Hi!

I am finally back again! OMG it's been a while since my last post.

In this post, I would like to write my thoughts about one of favorite serum/ampoule from brand called Lee Gee Haam. Before purchasing this, I have been eyeing this ampoule since it is really hype in the skincare community. It is known as an all in one product and awarded as the 'Glow Game Changer' in Glow Recipe. Besides, I have seen many of my AB community friends included this ampoule in their routine. Many say that this really helps to make your skin look radiant and glowing. Very intriguing, isn't it?

If you have not familiar with the brand yet, Lee Gee Haam (formerly Lee Ji Ham, they have changed their name recently) is Korean first cosmeceutical skincare line that promotes highly concentrated skincare from natural Ingredient. Circa end of 2017, skincare products that contain Propolis as their main ingredient become an instant hype among skincare community and this Lee Gee Haam Vita Propolis Ampoule is one of the highly raved ones. Thus, there are many brands started to release products with propolis as their main ingredients as well. But I have already set my heart to get this LGH since it is like the most popular one and beside, I haven't tried any products from LGH before.

So, shall we start?

Lee Gee Haam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule

Claims:
Multi-tasking ampoule with 50% of propolis extract smoothes, boost radiance and revitalize a dull complexion without feeling sticky or heavy. Used as a daily serum, it plumps skin with deep hydration while giving the surface a subtle sheen.

Notable Ingredients (from Glow Recipe website):

50% of Propolis Extract: Protects and nourishes the skin
10% Vitamin Derivatives (Niacinamide): Revitalize, even-toned skin
10% Sea Buckthorn Extracts: Rich in Vitamin
26% Centella Asiatica and Witch Hazel: Soothe skin and minimize the appearance of pores

Texture and Scents:

Because it contains 50% of propolis extract, I thought that it would be a bit thicker but the consistency is surprisingly thin and light. What I love it smells as sweet as honey! It feels like you want to eat it :p

Packaging:
It is tiny transparent glass bottle and contains 15 ml of the product. The dropper is very comfortable to use and takes up the product well.

How to use:
Put a few drops and apply it on your face. I use it after my hydrating toner.

Suitable for:
All skin types. Suitable for acne-prone skin.

Experience:
Before I include this to my daily skincare routine, as I said before I expected it would be as thick as honey but instead it is very very very thin serum. It is surprisingly lightweight and very hydrating. I use this after my hydrating toner and pat it gently until it absorbs finely on my skin. I feel a slight tackiness upon application but it will eventually go away.

Verdict:
I have used this ampoule for around three months and I really love it! It does give you a much-needed hydration, especially for people with dry skin like me. Before I use this, I had several dry patches around my lower left cheek. Then after I use it for a week they are gone for good! It also gives a nice subtle glow on your skin, even under makeup (I used it in my AM and PM routine at that time). For a long term result, I notice that aside from glowing skin I feel that it also repairs my skin texture, evens out my skin tone and heals my acne faster than usual. I can tell since I incorporated this in my routine my skin feels really supple, smooth and looks brighter and radiant! In addition, all those acnes that I got were much under control (due to the propolis and the Centella Asiatica). Furthermore, I also observe that this helps to fade my acne scars as well. To be honest, I am also surprised by the results as I didn't expect that this product would be this good!

This should be fit for any skin type, even people with acne-prone skin. Overall I personally love this although price-wise this is quite pricey for only 15ml worth of product. But considering that it works all its claims on my skin, I can rate this 4.5 out of 5.  I am not exaggerating saying that, but bare in mind the results are not that drastic either (note that I use it religiously in a straight 3months +, nothing instant except the glow and the hydration I could get).

Will I recommend this for you? Yes, especially if you have a problem with dull skin and acne and you are in need of Korean style glowy-looking skin, this is for you.
And.. if you don't mind to spend a bit more just to have a product in a quite small amount (This lasts me more almost 4 months and I still have a bit of product left tho)

Will I repurchase? Although I love this serum I am still not sure about it yet since I also want to try propolis serum from another brand. I am currently eyeing the iUNIK propolis serum which is cheaper and many say that it is also good, so... let's see.

Thank you so much for reading xx

ps: if you reside in the UK, you can purchase this through Kosame Beauty
