My Current Go To Makeup Products! [and short reviews]
September 06, 2017
Hi!
In this post I want to share my current favorite beauty products that I use in daily basis.
Honestly speaking I am not a person who always bring a makeup pouch everywhere due to the fact that I rarely touch up my makeup unless it is urgently needed *Lazyass girl detected*. I usually just bring one liptint or lipstick and that's it. But I will bring my pouch when I have to attend or go to more than one place or event in one day tho. Here are my current favorite with short review of the products!
L-R : Esqa Matte Lip Liquid #Coral Tease, Nars Pure Matte Lipstick #Tonkin, Glossier Cloud Paint #Beam, Rollover Reaction Flushed in #Paloma, Benefit Gimme Brow #5, Etude Dear Darling Tint #DaejuRed, Maybelline Hypercurl Volume Express, Glossier #Rose Balm Dotcom
My daily base makeup is always this BB Cushion Pore Control from Laneige. It has semi matte finish, and I have been using it for 2 years now. What I like about this cushion is that it does everything that it claims. It makes my skin looks bright and blurs pores and uneven skin textures and does not make my skin look cakey. It last almost 6 hours and for the coverage I would say it is light to medium but you can always build it up. My skin will always looks fresh when I use this (even my friends ask me what am I using cause my skin looks that good whenever I put this on).
Mine is in the shade #31 Brown, which is their new range of shades (previously I used their darkest shade which is #23, turned out it still slightly too light for my skin). Laneige has expanded their shade range for its infamous BB Cushion, which is a plus so many people with different skin tone (neutral/cool) can easily get their hand on this best seller product. These new shades unfortunately still not available in Indonesia at the moment (I got mine from Singapore). I bought this for 400k something Rupiahs but you got a refill so I can say that this product is quite affordable tho.
My go to lippies! I always prefer lip tint than lipstick but for lipsticks mine are always in the nude shades (and matte!) and I use them as the base and put dark colour tint on my inner lips to make a Korean gradient lips :D
The Esqa Matte Lip Liquid is the only liquid lipstick that I like because it is not drying and really easy to blend. The good thing is that this is a local brand and it is very affordable! Bought this in Esqa counter in Plaza Indonesia for 130k.
NARS pure matte lipstick is my all time favorite nude lipstick. The shade is in between rosy-mauve with a hint of brown which looks good on my skin tone (My lips is quite dark so some nude shades can make my face look washed off and dead). It is not surprisingly not drying at all, and the sleek packaging makes it even more sophisticated. For the price of course it is not as affordable as any other lipstick that I have (bought this around £27), but regarding its quality, shades, and formula (because it is really hard for me to get a perfect nude shades like this, as well as the perfect formula that match my liking *forever rempita girl*) it is all worth it.
Cause I am a lazy person I only use these to make my eyes look 'proper' everyday. I rarely use eyebrow pencil because I have already 'naturally-shaved' shaped brows LOL that is why I only use brow mascara to make it neater. This Benefit Gimme Brow is definitely my ultimate favorit browcara. It is my first, my one and only brow mascara that I have purchased so far and I am not gonna replace it. I know it is not cheap but it is not that expensive either. Love the hint of colour that it gives to my brow so it looks like I put effort to draw my eyebrow while I don't.
The Maybelline Hypercurl is one of the best mascara I have ever tried both for its performance and price. Waterproof and definitely makes your lashes longer and stay curl for the whole day <3
i do have a lot of mascaras at home, from high end to drugstore one but I think nothing can beat this. I do have some of my favorites like Majolica Majorca (Japanese brand) but compare to its price, of course this Maybelline wins.
I always put lots of blush to my cheek as it helps me to look more alive. I prefer cream type blusher than powder one because it looks way more natural. These products give me very healthy looking natural flush on my skin just the way I like.
The Rollover Reaction Flushed in Paloma gives a you a pretty coral flush with some hints of glitter, but not too much so it gives a healthy glowing look. For price, it is really and you can get order it directly from RR website.
On the other hand the Glossier Cloud Paint gives you a soft powdery finish on your cheek. I love how it easily blends, even by only your finger tips. Mine is in the shade #haze, which is a perfect shade for my go to natural look. It gives you a nice peachy flush to your cheek, enough to make you look like naturally blushing (especially if you have a yellow-Indonesian skin tone) I'm going to put more review about this oh-so-amazing cream blush on the other post (maybe). This supposed to be not expensive but I bought this for 300k something Rupiahs because it is really hard to get in Indo.
Probably my current favorite lipbalm. It is a balm that it almost feels like petroleum jelly with a hint of rose scent which I love. The good side this is not as greasy as petroleum jelly but still moisturize my lips really well. Another thing that I love is their simple yet cute packaging HAHAHAHA *forever weak for cute packaging* At first I thought this product would be a gimmicky, but it is not! It does work its job as a universal balm even though I don't put this to my elbow or hand (I only put this on my lip of course, and sometimes my dry cuticles). Bought this from @Allthingschicjkt on IG (as well as my other Glossier products) for maybe 2xxk Rupiahs.
xoxo
